Presidency

KADEN oLSEN
President
Kaden is driven to encourage growth, charity and curiosity in our community. As president of the Wasatch Ascent Project, he aims to improve the wellbeing of others through thoughtful service. He works to organize meaningful change and finds joy in working with people who devote their lives to the communities we live in. In his spare time, Kaden spends his time with his family or out fishing in the many waterways the Wasatch Front holds.

tRACEN jACOBS
Vice President
Tracen is an aspiring physician who finds fulfillment in serving the youth of his community. He is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and hopes to help bridge communication and cultural understanding between the medical field and Spanish-speaking populations. Tracen serves as Vice President of the Wasatch Ascent Project, where he manages financial responsibilities and supports community outreach initiatives. Outside of his volunteer work, he is an avid hiker, soccer player, and loves paddleboarding with his wife.

oLIVIA CANNON
Vice President
Olivia is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science and is passionate about serving others through healthcare, community involvement, and lifelong learning. She currently serves as Vice President of the Wasatch Ascent Project, where she helps lead organizational initiatives, supports community outreach efforts, and works alongside fellow volunteers to make a meaningful impact. in her spare time, Olivia enjoys crocheting, knitting, and exploring a variety of crafts. She loves finding creative outlets that allow her to unwind and share handmade creations.

Alexis Vigil
Digital Marketing Manager
Alexis is deeply passionate about giving back, a desire rooted in her own impactful experiences during elementary school. These formative moments inspired her commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. With a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for helping people succeed, Alexis plays a key role at Wasatch Ascent. Outside of her volunteer work, she enjoys watching movies, traveling, and nurturing her collection of indoor plants.

James Barraza
Digital Marketing Manager
James is passionate about helping others and is working to inspire the next generation to give their best effort in life. He is responsible for managing the social media of Wasatch Ascent. Outside of volunteering, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, reading, and skiing.
Donations and Drives Team

Oakley James
Charitable Relations Manager
Oakley was raised along the Wasatch Front by a mother who is an elementary school teacher and is now married to one, fostering a deep appreciation for education and community support. With experience in volunteer coordination, fundraising, and leadership, he helps organize donation drives and manage financial records to support Wasatch Ascent Project’s initiatives. Outside of volunteering, Oakley enjoys trail running, rock climbing, and exploring the outdoors.

Josh Knight
CEO & Founder
Josh is passionate about helping youth in our community fulfill their greatest potential and dreams. With compassion and dedication, he leads the Wasatch Ascent Project to support kids in need as well as enjoys educating kids on college and career readiness. Outside of volunteering, Josh enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and playing or watching sports.

Camden Van Tassell
CFO & Founder
Camden is passionate about educating youth on college and the potential they have to become something great. With an outgoing personality and desire to make a difference, he volunteers weekly at YMCA schools as well as manages the financial efforts at Wasatch Ascent Project. Outside of volunteering, Camden enjoys cars, volleyball, Newport Beach, and spending time with his family and Miniature Schnauzer, Rover.

Boyd Griffiths
COO & Founder
Boyd is passionate about inspiring and equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge for them to succeed. With a drive for growth and improvement he leads the day to day operations of the Wasatch Ascent Project. He is also actively engaged with teaching and volunteering with the youth. Outside of the Wasatch Ascent Project, Boyd enjoys time spent with family, in the outdoors and on the lake.
